Hello Everyone, 

It's been a long process but we're extremely excited to announce that Kultivate Labs a new non-profit organization we helped launched won a few grants from the city to help develop the economic development strategies for Soma Pilipinas Filipino Cultural District. We have been awarded

  • $75K to create an ongoing night market in the SOMA
  • $75K to launch a small business accelerator

The money is a great start but to make it happen we're going to do a crowdfunding campaign to help put it on so be on the lookout.

GET READY FOR A CREATIVE NIGHT MARKET FESTIVAL IN SF'S OLD MINT

Inspired by the vibrant night markets of Asia, UNDISCOVERED SF is a curated collection of emerging artists and merchants that celebrates the rich cultural heritage of the SOMA Pilipinas district located in the heart of San Francisco's innovative South Of Market neighborhood.

UNDISCOVERED SF will unveil to the world the emerging culture of  Filipino-Americans (and beyond) involved in music, visual arts, fashion, design, retail, food, technology, social activism, and health & wellness. 

This new monthly event is a non-profit effort to benefit the residents of the SOMA who have not been able to participate in the neighborhood's economic development.

We're looking for artists and merchants to be a part of this exciting new event.


A NEW WEB EXPERIENCE FOR SOUTH PARK'S LORD GEORGE BAR

Ezra Berman and Miles Palliser are the SF restaurateurs behind the wildly popular SF Athletic Club andThe Corner Store . In 2015, the duo opened a cocktail and oyster bar in South Park called Lord George. As constant innovators, they came up with a new rotating guest bartender program called Mavericks. Concerned that the new program might cause confusion, they came to Plinth to develop a new website that would introduce the Mavericks program without overshadowing Lord George.

OBJECTIVES

  • Refresh the Lord George website in 2 weeks.
  • Incorporate the new Mavericks Bartender program into the website without overpowering the bar's brand.

STRATEGY

  • Bring the bar's inspiration, George Gordon, to the forefront.
  • Create a unique mark for the Mavericks program and establish "Mavericks" as a "Stamp of Approval" from Lord George.
